Spidergawd are a relatively new supergroup from Trondheim, Norway featuring Motorpsycho members Kenneth Kapstad and Bent Sæther, with Per Borten from Cadillac and New Violators as frontsinger. On sax the band has brought in Rolf Martin Snustad (Hopalong Knut). They are in fact some rock veterans who came together because Per felt the need to play loud, hard rock. Using drums, bass, guitar and baritone sax they make hot sounds affectionately known as desert rock, in the manic style of legends like MC5 and Grand Funk Railroad. The band has released two albums. Their first came out start 2014 and gave them a nomination in the Norwegian Grammy. The second Spidergawd II was released this January and has been very well received by the music press.
Spidergawd are out touring in March and May before they start hitting European festivals.
